We invest in education, talent, and inclusion
We believe that the lack of diversity in our industry begins at the entry points, whether in classrooms or in how companies typically recruit. At ADGA we are working hard to remove the barriers that have, to date, kept too many talented people out of our industry. One measure we have prioritized is the allocation of bursaries for under-represented groups in technology, including women and ethnocultural minorities, at Algonquin College and La Cité Collégiale. We are also proud partners of the Mamidosewin Centre, at Algonquin College, with the goal of promoting Aboriginal participation in the Defence and Security sector.
We build and nurture a culture of inclusion
We firmly believe that sustained equity and diversity efforts tangibly benefit all our stakeholders. We actively work with and train all ADGA employees to build a deep organizational understanding of the impact of systemic barriers created by unconscious biases and gender biases on our peers, colleagues, and community at large. We work every day to change the dialogue, dispel myths, and break down barriers.
