Job Description

ADGA is hiring a Junior Project Manager with a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Project manager or Coordinator to provide the services of a subject matter expert for a defence program that ADGA manages. The Junior Project Manager will provide services for Human Resources, Training, Infrastructure, and will primarily be working in an administrative capacity in support of program activities. We are looking for a Junior Project Manager who is highly organized, dedicated, and a good team-player who can also work on their own. The Junior Project manager must also have experience with the Microsoft Office Toolset (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Examples of the tasks to be accomplished by the Junior Project Manager may include:

Travel Coordination Support. Day-to-day support to DLCPM 4 travel coordination to include, but not limited to the following:

 

  • Process travel requests in accordance with DND and Treasury Board travel directives;
  • Maintain travel tracker; and
  • Provide liaison between the team and the Travel Cell.

 

HQ Coordination and Support:

 

  • Liaison and coordination with the Business Management Team;
  • Support the second in command for reports, returns, and other remits; and
  • Represent the team at building and facility meetings.

Qualifications

A minimum of a College diploma in Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Project Management, Business Administration or a suitable engineering or technical field.

A minimum of 4 years of experience performing 7 of the following 9 tasks:

  1. Working as a project manager for projects in excess of $1M per year expenditure.
  2. Preparing and presenting technical and management documents.
  3. Management of stakeholders and communications in a project context
  4. Managing project financial for projects in excess of $1M per year expenditure.
  5. Managing the project scope for projects in excess of $1M per year expenditure.
  6. Managing project schedule for projects in excess of $1M per year expenditure.
  7. Perfroming risk management for projects in excess of $1M per year expenditure.
  8. Drafting correspondence and making recommendations on the acceptance or rejection of deliverables.
  9. Preparing Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs).
